The Governing board of the Arena Congregational Church held 12 regular meetings, 1 special meeting and 2 special Congregational meetings.

Actions of the Governing Board:

-Scheduled an Ash Wednesday Service for February 13, 2002.

-Recommended participation in the Heifer project for Lent.

-Approved the wedding of Wendy Stevenson and Donavin Hoffman on 9/14/02.

-Scheduled a Maundy Thursday Service.

-Participated in a joint Good Friday Service with Arena Bible Church with Pastor Shultz as speaker and the men provided a special music selection.

-Accepted the bid from JW Contractors for improvement of the down spouts and gutters.

-Presented a church covenant to the congregation for approval.

-Replaced the kitchen carpeting, painted the downstairs and replaced the refrigerator with the volunteers donating to the cost.

-Sponsored a monthly men's breakfast and a Mother's Day breakfast.

-Scheduled a summer worship service and potluck dinner at Brigham park in July and another outdoor service and dinner at the church in Sept.

-Accepted the transfer of memberships of Marvin and Helen Everson to active membership, Kevin and Jeff Everson to inactive membership and the membership of Mia, Dalton and Dylan after confirmation.

-Set and approved a new user fee for the church through the Wedding/Building Use Policy.

-Sponsored a fall Harvest Dinner Potluck.

-Recommended replacing the Church signs on Hwy. 14.

-Scheduled Thanksgiving Eve. and Christmas Eve. Services.

-Will recommend to the congregation at the annual meeting that the church join the Wisconsin Congregational Association.

-Set annual outings for the summer of 2003 to include the 2nd Sunday of July and the 2nd Sunday of September.

-Set annual meeting date for Jan. 19, 2003.

-Provided Christmas gifts to Pastor and Helga Shultz, and Marie Bryant.
